I just don t see how anyone can give this book than one star For starters, the scenes from the past were gut wrenching, the misunderstandigs heartbreaking, and their eventual coming together unbelievable given the previoius I understand love hate, but this woman was seriously hurt by this guy and I just can t see a couple of kisses and a bit of touching making it all better especially when she realized he intentionally set out to make her pregnant again under the guise of helping her we all rea [...]

This was a typical three star read for me until the twist at the end The hero didn t believe he was the father when the heroine told him she was pregnant after one month of dating He brutally broke it off with her, but decided just as she was miscarrying that he wanted her back The flashbacks to her miscarriage were heartbreaking The story opens a year later with the heroine working in a jewelry store She had negotiated the selling of crown jewels from some mythical country and the security expe [...]

Wow, this actually made me cry Lucy Monroe can usually provide a plump, fun to be around, sassy heroine, but not in this case.I actually teared up when view spoiler the during the flashback the heroine experiences her miscarriage It was tragic Heart breaking when she calls out to the hero that she won t say he s the father as long as he ll help her save the baby Wow and gulp hide spoiler Yes, there is a lot to ponder as it fits soon many Harley land tropes bad parents, misunderstandings, rampant [...]

One star down for hero only respecting heroine because she was virgin which he thought otherwise.Second star down because I really really wanted to knee him couple of times where the sun doesn t shine. And in case you are wondering why a three star instead of 2 Well everyone here knows my weaknesses for a celibate hero But Becky has raised a valid question WHAT IF, she WASN T a virgin Why would the baby not be his then Why would she be gold digger Is there a direct connection between hymens and h [...]

Oh, the injustice, the pain, the grief, the guilt, the remorse This was an emotional read and unusual in the fact that the entire book centers on hero s remorse and guilt rather than a brief scene at the end Salvatore was vicious and had no good reason for accusing heroine and treating her like crap but then HP heroes rarely do This was somewhere between a 2 and 4 star for mest gave it 4 because I could recognize hero s love through his empathy for heroine, his fidelity, his steadfast determinat [...]

H is a brute, I absolutely hate him , for all the words he said and the damage he caused he didn t deserve her lt was all just sex for you, wasn t it What else would it be with a woman like you All his conclusions about her character were based on false notions, his wrong assumptions and a bad experience in his past, but those reasons are certainly not enough to let him off the hook, and certainly there is no reason for him to doubt h.Whatever he said,He is a A class Jerk and manipulating bastard [...]

Wow the hero was a total ass in the beginning of this book The heroine suffered a traumatic miscarriage as a result of his behavior He was callous and cruel Yes his ex lied about her pregnancy and cheated on him but still Elisa didn t deserve his cruelty He believes she sleeps with other men, he doesn t even believe the baby she lost is his and hurts her so much After he abandons her she calls him nonstop but he refuses to listen and acknowledge he is the father of her baby When he regrets his b [...]

I thought this was pretty lame His reason for doubting that he was the father of her baby originally was ridiculous yes, he was suspicious based on his past experience, but that doesn t overcome BASIC BIOLOGY he knew he d had unprotected sex, how on earth could he angrily swear that the baby wasn t his And speaking of which, if he d truly been scarred by that prior experience, wouldn t he be obsessive about using protection in the first place I m not one to care much about plot believability tho [...]

4.5 starsThe heroine Elisa is not pleased when the hero Salvatore turns up at the jewellery store she works for It reminds her too much of the pain she experienced a year ago when Salvatore had cruelly left her and she had later suffered a traumatic miscarriage Salvatore has never forgiven himself for the cruel way he treated Elisa when he didn t believe her about the pregnancy, and he searched high and low for her when Elisa seemingly disappeared after her ordeal Now she has come back, and with [...]

2.5 Stars I destroyed what we had because of fear, old wounds, and a stupid misunderstanding Elisa fell in love with Salvatore, gave him her virginity, and got pregnant When he questioned whether he was the baby s father, she miscarried and walked away Now over a year later he is back in her life insisting that they marry Elisa knows that he never loved her, he just believed she was a fun, easy time and has no intention of marrying him Until they got locked in a vault for the night and some trut [...]

3.5 stars The book starts after their breakup and how the hero decides enough is enough he wants his woman back It was a emotional angst filled ride I loved the strong independent heroine There was a realistic quality to her loneliness and pain I liked the hero too eventhough he messed up big time But he wasn t a jerk to heroine, just an idiot who didn t realize his feelings early But he never gave upon her It was definitely a plus He fought for their happy ever after and always came back for he [...]

This had one of my favorite train wrecky premises, but somehow didn t quite do it for me Not sure why The hero ditches the heroine when she tells him she s pregnant because he assumed she wasn t a virgin when they first had sex due to her youth spent doing gymnastics He went on a nasty sexist tirade and then refused to speak to her Then he decides he misses her and wants her back So what if she had a revolving bed That was before they met and he ll marry her and raise the little bastard as his o [...]

This was Elisa and Salvatore s story and a very enjoyable read After Elisa s disastrous affair with Salvatore ended, she tried to moved on and forget the man she loved who didn t believe the child she had carried and lost was his And she thought she had put it all behind her until he showed up at the jewelry store where she works and old feelings started to resurfaced Salvatore can t forget Elisa But it was already too late when he realized his mistake She already lost the baby and he lost her a [...]

This was a pretty solid Lucy Monroe and reminded me why I used to like her so much The story is simple Elisa and Salvadore were previously lovers, but thanks to Salvadore thinking that Elisa was a big ol tramp, he thought she was only mistress material When she ended up pregnant, he determined the baby wasn t his and dumped her He realized his mistake pretty swiftly, only Elisa had already disappeared Fast forward to present day and Salvadore has finally managed to track her down and is determin [...]

This review was posted at Tsuki s Book Blog on August 12, 2013.This was the first of the two I picked up I was looking for something to read during a break at work and picked it up at the library book sale for 50 cents It seems a bit pricey for the little Harlequins in comparison to the large mass markets but whatever This was one of those books where you actually question whether or not the author meant to be funny ridiculous I want to say no but that s how it read. The book followed Elisa who i [...]

This is Elisa and Salvatore s story full of passion, pain and will, in the end, warm your heart. All of Elisa s life she just wanted to belong and she felt she belonged to no one, not her lover nor her parents She craved acceptance from her American mother who chose not to marry her Italian father Throughout her life she spent time in Sicily with her father and his wife and their sweet, traditional Sicilian daughter However, Elisa always felt somewhat like an outsider Her lover, Salvatore had sho [...]

I was a little confused at how to rate this because the hero felt like two different people In the beginning of their relationship flashbacks he treated her like crap, accused her of some pretty nasty things and honestly believed the worst of her She was beyond hurt she was devastated It almost felt like she just couldn t possibly forgive that kind of hurt Even later in the book, some of these trends continue view spoiler When despite coming back for her he continues to insist that she lost HER [...]

Great novel However the hero was a real dickhead I loved watching him unravel emotionally and learn to be the right man for the heroine The book was done really well on the emotional level, I had tears in my eyes The heroine went through a lot of bullshit and I had to hand it to her and her heart for being so loving, even though she lost something precious to her.
