This book introduces young readers to the Star Wars story Since Disney owns the franchise, 5 year old nephew came home with Star Wars guys for himself and his cousin, neither of whom have seen the movies given their young ages 5 year old was briefly enchanted with the concept With the current film in the franchise opening this weekend, I knew I had to get these books for my nephews Each page has only one word to describe what is happening in the scene It follows the plot of the movie pretty clos [...]

I m a Star Wars fan, of both the movies and books I have to say the Star Wars Epic Yarns are one of the cutest Star Wars products I ve come across All three books were a delight The yarn figures are a wonder and perfect to the last detail These books are a great way to introduce the Star Wars universe to the little ones in your family I look forward to sharing these books with my niece s kids I reviewed all three Star Wars Epic Yarns in one postnavivian 2015 1

Very cute Star Wars board book I think Kathryn is a little old for it now although she liked the pictures but I would have loved it when she was a baby.

This review was originally written for The Baby Bookworm Visit us for new picture books reviews daily Hello friends, and May the Fourth be with you The Baby Bookworm family are HUGE Star Wars fans if you couldn t tell from JJ s custom, handmade Millennium Falcon dress , so we definitely wanted to celebrate today with a Star Wars book We chose Star Wars Epic Yarns A New Hope by Jack and Holman Wang, an adorable board book that mixes some incredible Star Wars crafting with the classic tale of Luke [...]

A set of single word pages that describe A New Hope The baby loves it, and has picked up some of the words, like help He also gets very excited about duel The illustrations are photos of felt characters, they re unique but iconic.

This book is absolutely adorable The pages are filled with amazing dolls made of yarn, playing out the star wars films with a sight one on each page to help your child start on the epic adventure of reading.

This was an amazing book series I never knew one word could tell so much When I read them to the group of kids at Star Wars Reads Day, we had a discussion about each page and what is happening in the photo illustration It was a lot of fun Probably my favorite scene is where it shows Vader leaning over the bridge thing in Cloud City, and the one word is Father , because it summed up one of the biggest plot twists in movie history I may be a bit biased with just one word The felt figures are extre [...]

This odd and fun little book tells the abbreviated story of Star Wars Episode IV Each page shows a photographed scene from the film, recreated with felt and yarn, accompanied by a single word The book is categorized at Barnes Noble as for Toddlers, but any Star Wars fan would enjoy it The words are simple and concise only 12 in the whole book , and suitable for the youngest readers, even if they aren t as easy as The Cat in the Hat The artwork is amazing I d wish I d had time to look at the pict [...]

Okay, rather than review each book in the series, here is my review of all three SCORE I laughed out loud, shared them with library co workers, shared them with patrons who share them with their kids, and responded extemporaneously to some vignettes eg Han shot first Do yourself a favor and seek these books out, even if you have to enter your local library s children s room without a child in tow.

I got so excited about the concept I sort of missed the this book has 12 words part. The art is cool I mean, yes, sometimes the puppets are a little creepy but for the most part they are super cool Someone s passion project made it to a publisher This will not make someone a SW fan but for those who already are Fun.

The concept behind this book is pretty awesome and heartfelt Chortle Chortle The board book features 12 scenes and 12 important words from A New Hope, part of the Star Wars saga, but all the scenes and characters have been fashioned with felt The creators have taken a nifty concept and made it work very well After all, that s easy to do when The Force is with you.

    15. Gianina on said:

Star Wars summarized in one word pages for the tiniest of humans What is there not to love I thought my daughter would be too old for these but I think introducing some simple books at the prek stage gives her a chance to use her imagination and recount who each person is The fun thing is that after reading it a couple times she could read it to herself and remember each word

    16. Samantha on said:

This board book takes the popular Star Wars movie and breaks it down to key scenes which are recreated using felt and mirrored by one word that describes the main point of the scene Fans of the movies will understand what s going on, but without prior knowledge of the movie this book is all about appreciating the art.PreK.

    17. Sandra Strange on said:

I just don t see the purpose of this board book It presents yarn created illustrations of various scenes from the original movie with one word as label for each scene I m not sure what age this book is for it makes no sense to anyone who doesn t know the movie well a phrase, instead of one word, would be appropriate which wouldn t be the toddlers that use most board books.

    18. Heidi on said:

This is a cute board book I of course have a family of Star Wars fans, and although not a huge fan of felting, I admired the detail in the pages I also really enjoyed the simple format Great for the littlest fans, and funny for the adults.

With just a few simple images and words, this cute little board book covers the basics behind Star Wars A New Hope While the storm troopers look decidedly less scary in soft, fuzzy felt than the movie, everything else is pitch perfect A fun read for budding Star Wars fans.

As much as I love Star Wars and the time and effort that went into the creation of these knitted pieces, my friend was disappointed when they did not actually give instructions as to how to knit them She s an avid knitter.

This series is so cute I had the pleasure of meeting Holman Wang at a recent conference and heard all about how he created these figures Truly amazing So much work time went into creating it Will be super popular once the new movie comes out later this year

    22. Melissa on said:

This is adorable The author masterfully broke down the movie into 12 iconic scenes each represented by a single word The illustrations are amazingly detailed with all of the characters as adorable felt dolls A wonderful book for all Star Wars fans to share with their littlest ones.
