I needed a light read and like most things Irish, so I thought I would give this a try It was a nice, clean read with no profanity or loose morals, but it was spoiled for me by the two main characters themselves Ellen and Payne are supposedly mature adults in their mid forties, but acted like middle school kids They had no ability to communicate with one another as adults, so were always coming to incorrect assumptions about each other s feelings, motives, etc They pouted, refused to be the firs [...]

After reading Irish Encounter, I want to go to Ireland I want to pick up my knitting needles even though Ellen prefers crochet But mostly, I want to be open to those around me and the possibility that God might drop people into my life in very unexpected ways and for reasons that might not be clear at first Ellen and Payne are both likable with realistic flaws and lots of baggage OK I might have a bit of a book crush on Payne I really liked him Can t blame Ellen for falling for him From Ireland [...]

Loved this book I loved the banter between Ellen and Payne that made me smile in all the right places A little tad of steam added to the exotic location of Galway and Hope has come up with a great combination.

Thoroughly enjoyed Ellen and Payne s story as well as the many supporting characters Loved that the storyline was set in Galway Ireland, the US and Uganda Loved Ellen s ideas for her business, her community and her farm Many parallels to my own life Very enjoyable and unique story.

Boring, predictable, and drama that dragged on for too long Not a book that I would recommend I felt the characters were immature high schoolers, not adults.

A Really Enjoyable ReadI read the occasional romance but it is not generally my favorite genre however this was a one that I could not put down I was surprised as I really bought this because of the setting Ireland I laughed out loud at some of the dialogue between the main characters, identified with the older lovers, and found the pace of the book just right with a lot of description and enough action to keep my interest What surprised me was the Christian nature of the book It was very Christ [...]

Perfect loveI loved this book and I had a terrible time putting it down Wonderful story of second chances and a pure love guided by prayer and a constant trust in God No matter what goes on in this world, you can count on God to bring you through your toughest times Ellen and Payne had both been dealt hardship and pain when losing loved ones Their meeting in Ireland for different reasons can only be described as divine intervention God brought these two together and planted a seed of hope in bot [...]

I love all things Irish, so I had no issues getting right into this story I definitely enjoyed the tidbits of information sprinkled through the first chapters about Ireland The story was entertaining, and I liked that it was a story about older people Being a self proclaimed grammar nerd, I found a number of errors, but they didn t detract from the overall enjoyment of the book.I received this book from the author publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I originally got this book as a free bookbub book and since I was actually going to Ireland I thought it would be fun to read Very nice, clean romance The only part in Ireland is that the couple meet there but it s still a fun read with Christian values where prayer is spoken of.
