I enjoyed this one Have just finished the last in the trilogy and it was a bit of a letdown so better not let that colour my review of this one.A troubled teenage girl has been charged with the grisly murder of her stepfather The evidence is damning Emily was found alone at the scene with blood on her hands, and an incriminating e mail she wrote outlines a murder plot identical to the method of the brutal slaying But deputy district attorney Julia Chandler believes her niece is innocent, and she [...]

I really like the books in this series, but I need a pause to put my stomach in order I know that thre re some sick people out there, but to think in these books the vicious killers are teenagers And that makes me sickI read this book biting my nails and really liked the suspense and the break neack pace Also the love story was very good If you want to enter into the mind of really twisted and sick people, I recommend the first in the series and this book too

I have already read Books 1 and 3 in this trilogy, but wanted to read Book 2 as well Although it is part of a trilogy it can be read as a stand alone book I enjoyed the MC s in this book as well as the plot There are a lot of characters and some may seem fleshed out if you had read Book 1 or read it recently , but for the most part they are nicely developed in this novel The plot is good but a little complicated due to the number of known and unknown characters There were a couple of scenes I w [...]

Very good Even though this is a 2nd book in the series, it really does very well as a standalone Young 16 year old Emily is about to be accused of horribly mutilating her step father After all her prints were on the scene and his blood was in her room Now the race begins for deputy district attorney, Julia Chandler to prove that her niece didn t commit this heinous crime She enlist the aid of unwilling PI, Connor Kincade 5 years ago she forced Connor, who at the time was a cop, to testify agains [...]

Started this April 15th, 2014 just after finishing Speak No Evil. The Evil series is very bloody, brutal and has a rather high body count.Nonetheless I think these are the best books so far from Allison Brennan.A few sex scenes, a bit of romance, but I consider the last sex scene as too long, and boring, all where non kinky and while not distracting, where not very interesting, and rather as pause from all the sadistic killing, a necessary break.Although the ending is again predictable, and in mo [...]

I really liked this book It is 2 of the No Evil Trilogy and is a fast paced mystery suspense with a romantic element I prefer of a romance, but I can settle if the suspense is good and this one is.Julia and Connor have a bad history, but that doesn t stop her from calling her when her niece, Emily, is found in the same house with her murdered stepfather The crime was nasty and brutal the perp cut off his penis and stuffed it in his mouth, chocking him Emily had a very good reason to kill him an [...]

Another good read, although I skipped through pages and pages of romance again.I didn t enjoy it as much as Speak No Evil It took me a little while to get into this one and get the characters straight in my head I had to keep flipping back to see who was whom.We are told how the group were all brought together and why so many people had died, but for me it wasn t enough to really explain why they did what they did.The ending left me feeling flat.

This is the second book in the No Evil series, and as I have said before I m a fan What a book Conner Kincaid is an ex cop turned Private Investigator, he is hired by Assistant District Attorney Julia Chandler who ruined his career and was behind him losing his beloved job five years ago Why did she hire him because he is the best and he cares for her niece Emily who is accused of murdering her step father in the most grusome manner imaginable Julia believes Emily is innocent, so does Conner, an [...]

This is the second book in the Evil series they re romantic suspense books , but you don t need to read the first in order to understand what s going on I hadn t The story and characters were interesting and there was lots of action as a group of vigilantes deliver their version of justice however, I didn t like all those sections from the various antagonists Lots of characters had screen time and I felt it diluted the main protagonists stories and I d rather been with them as they solved the my [...]

A great romantic suspense Julia s niece is being charged with the gruesome murder of her stepfather Julia is the deputy district attorney and knows that her niece would never kill anyone In order to prove her niece s innocence she asks Connor Kincaid, a PI with whom she has a rocky history, to help I really enjoyed this book The suspense was gripping, the murder scenes and villains amazingly written, so well that I actually felt sad at the end of the book when 2 of them died.I loved that Julia a [...]

A good suspense story with a little romance and plenty of action that moved right along I liked how they all worked to solve the crime but the progression of the hate to love relationship was not very believable When attorney Julia s niece is a murder suspect she asks Connor to investigate despite their old animosity.

I managed to acquire the three books of this series without knowing what I was getting into I m going to finish the series, just because I started it, but I think that will be enough Brennan for me You can see my review of the first and third books on GR, as well, but this one will say a lot of the same things Specific warning for this book See No Evil contains graphic scenes of self mutilation which may be triggers for people with a history of cutting If this is you, skip the book It also deals [...]

See No Evil by Allison Brennan is the second in the No Evil Series That being said, it can be read as a stand alone novel Although it does involve some of Brennan s Kincaid family members, it has nothing to do with the first book. When a judge is sadistically murdered in his home, Assistant DA Julia Chandler s troubled niece is the prime suspect To prove Emily s innocence, Julia enlists the aid of Psychiatrist Dillon Kincaid, and his brother, PI Connor Kincaid What they find is abuse, and a strin [...]

I really wanted to like this book than I did The plot sounded interesting I liked the premise My only problem The writing just didn t live up to the storyline The story surrounds a beautiful DA Julia who must prove her niece s innocence after her stepfather is found horribly murdered in his study A stepfather whom the niece was being molested by had plenty of motive to kill There to help is a figure from Julia s past who holds a grudge and a lot of lust against her, Connor Kinkaid Moving in the [...]

The other books in the series, Speak No Evil and Fear No Evil, were better the romance didn t feel as real in this book because the characters didn t really talk outside of the bedroom or resolve their issues before hopping into bed together Brennan just doesn t seem to do well in the romance genre she should stick to just suspense The characters just weren t as likeable, intelligent or fleshed out as much in this one either The mystery was also better in the other two there were just too many c [...]
