Garden Flora is an amazing reference book Because it is a reference book, I found it very hard to just sit down and read, one page at a time The sketches are amazing Each plant has detailed information about where it came from and how to use it in your garden I would think this would be perfect for anyone that loves gardening, just beginning or a professional Come learn something new Thank you Timber Press and NetGalley for the digital ARC of this book, which made this honest review possible.

It s hard to mess up a book with flower paintings and history, but here we are This was just too inconsistent and half hearted to work for me Sometimes there were only eh photographs the common names were buried in the texts and the information felt ish The old paintings and prints which I could look at all day were only here in smatterings.

I was excited to get the e ARC from NetGalley as I do like to garden and learn about plants Of course this is something that I should have started learning about years ago but better late than never This is definitely a reference book and since I knew I d review it I plowed my way slowly through it although I think most readers will use it the way most reference books are used looking up individual plants and being enticed to read further as they leaf through it Kingsbury starts off with a tut [...]

I always wondered about where the many different plants in my grandmothers gardens came from, especially when and where they originated This book answered great many of my questions about some of the common plants This book should not be viewed as just a reference book but a bookto be enjoyed in off hours when one was to get away from the world and enjoy learning about flora that you are not acquainted with Perhaps you may want to grow some yourself.
