Enjoyed reading this work of science fiction near future speculative fiction The idea of math as a superpower is fun and the main character is an intriguing anti hero a hole with an interesting back story There is a plot point where it sort of makes me give it an arched brow and 3 stars instead of 4 But that aside, we are talking about a well imagined world, characters who are well fleshed out, flawed and believable, and plots that drive hard Entertaining and makes you think about the power of m [...]

These books are perfect comic book style fun with ridiculous amounts of action and a super powered but flawed hero Apart from the idea that being good at mathematics gives you superpowers there are certain other plot elements that require a lot of suspension of disbelief, but that is part of the fun The author knows her tropes and pop culture references The short stories should really have been placed chronologically between books 2 and 3, especially Ladies Night Out , the events of which are re [...]

Awesome books Caveat, I ve got a BS in math comp Sci I love the first and third books The idea of a math superhero is excellent I also like brash women heroines I also like the hint of a secret I didn t like the second book of the three It doesn t hold together It felt like a couple of plots stitched together with the end globbed on Parts of it are accurate, people anthropomorphise, but there is the uncanny valley If you like super heroes with a touch of math you ll like this book.

As I began reading this series i thought I can overlook the rough, language including the F word But, then I thought, why should I There are plenty of good fantasy science fiction books out there to read I don t need to compromise So, no about this series from me.
