While I m not a tourist, sometimes tourist books have some good ideas for things to check out in the city I got one or two ideas from this antiquated book In 2003 the Big Dig was still under construction and the T still took tokens Also funny, this book cautions against jaywalking in the city How can you tell a tourist from somebody who lives in Boston The tourist waits for the walk sign in other words, jaywalking is ubiquitous in Boston.

I like the Top 10 concept because we will only be in the Boston area for a couple of days However, the top 10 concept tends to feature the most popular, touristy places When I travel, I often like to go off the beaten path.As much as I like reading travel books, I still prefer to research my travel destinations online so the information is current and up to date.
